Not a bank, lender, or financial advisor
Kindo is a coordination and record-keeping platform for loans between people who already know each other. We are not a bank, lender, broker, money-services business, investment firm, or financial advisor. We do not lend our own money, charge interest, hold deposits, or guarantee any return.
The agreement is between you and the other person
When a request is accepted, the loan is a private agreement between the borrower and lender. Kindo records the terms but is not a party to the contract. You are both responsible for:
- Settling the funds (offline or via your chosen payment processor).
- Honouring the agreed schedule.
- Reporting any income, gains, or transfers to your tax authority where required.
- Complying with any local laws on personal lending, interest caps, or consumer credit.
Risk of loss
Personal lending carries real risk. The borrower may be late, repay partially, or fail to repay at all. Kindo does not insure, guarantee, or recover loans on your behalf. Our ratings, savings benchmark, and repayment indicators are decision-support tools, not predictions.
Only lend money you can afford to lose.Diversify, don't over-extend, and use Kindo only with people you genuinely trust.
Calculations are illustrative
Interest, total repayable, projected return, and the savings-benchmark comparison are computed using simplified formulas (simple interest unless otherwise noted) for clarity. They are not official APR/APY disclosures and may differ from a regulated lender's figures. The savings benchmark is a generic global reference and does not represent any specific bank or product.
No tax, legal, or financial advice
Information on Kindo (including blog posts, in-app help, and calculations) is for general guidance only and is not a substitute for professional advice. Speak to a qualified accountant, tax advisor, or lawyer about your specific situation before making decisions.
Regulation and licensing
Kindo operates as a software platform. We are not registered as a credit institution, payment institution, or e-money issuer in any jurisdiction. If you require regulated lending, consumer-credit protection, deposit insurance, or formal collections, please use a licensed financial services provider instead.
Third-party payment processors
When you settle online, funds move via a third-party processor (such as Stripe). That processor's terms, fees, fraud policies, and chargeback rules apply. Kindo is not responsible for the processor's availability, decisions, or charges.
Anti-fraud, anti-money-laundering, sanctions
You agree not to use Kindo to send, receive, or disguise funds from illegal activity, evade sanctions, finance terrorism, or in any way that violates applicable AML or sanctions law. We may suspend any account suspected of misuse and report it to authorities where required.
Forward-looking statements
Some content (e.g. projected returns, repayment health, average funding times) describes expected or hypothetical outcomes. Past activity is not a guarantee of future results. Real outcomes will vary.
